The incredible power to weight ratio of this engine has been achieved by using a mechanical fuel injection system alongside the 7 L engine which makes a robust engine for all markets and industries. This engine also runs at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
The engine requires 16.5 L of oil for lubrication, 21 L of coolant, for the liquid cooled cooling system, and has a total displacement of 7.01 L. All these elements combine to produce 267.8 horsepower (199.9 kWm) at 1800 RPM. Oil service intervals are 500 hours as standard.
