The incredible power to weight ratio of this engine has been achieved by using a mechanical fuel injection system which makes it robust for all markets and industries. This engine also runs at the 50Hz and 60Hz configuration making it more versatile.
The engine makes use of a turbocharger and an aftercooler. The engine requires 16.5 litres of oil for lubrication, 21 litres of coolant for the liquid cooled cooling system and a total displacement of 7.01L. All these elements combine to produce the 267.8 horsepower (199.9 kWm) at 1800 RPM. Oil service intervals are 500 hours as standard.
