The Specifications of the 403A-15G2 Perkins Engine
The engine is naturally aspirated, meaning there's no use of a turbo/super charger. The engine requires 6 litres of oil for lubrication, 6 litres of coolant for the radiator and a total displacement of 1.496L. All these elements combine to produce the 24 horsepower (18 kWm) at 1800 RPM. Oil service intervals are 500 hours as standard.
820mm (32.3") Long, 469mm (18.5") Wide and 793mm (31.2") high this is one of the smaller Perkins Diesel Engines. Which is also shown by the cylinders having a bore of 84mm and stroke of 90mm. The engine has a (dry) total weight of 197kg.
The flywheel on this engine rotates anti clockwise, as viewed from the flywheel end.
Using this engine coupled with an alternator to make a generator would make for a very all round lower powered generator, or paralleled with more units would increase the output so it can suit the bigger jobs.
