The Perkins 1100 range now fits even closer to customer needs. The 1104C-44TAG2 engine has been engineered to produce six cylinder capability from a 4 cylinder combination. The 1104C-44TAG2 engine is a 4.4 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder engine which is currently manufactured in Peterborough, UK. The Perkins build number for this engine begins RJ.
Crucially the 1104C-44TAG2 engine has a much more reduced bare engine noise level than ever before with costs of operation still being lowered as fuel and oil consumption have decreased. The engine is also available in either a 50Hz or 60Hz configuration.
The engine makes use of a turbocharger with a charge air cooler. The engine requires 8.0 litres of oil for lubrication, 12.6 litres of coolant for the water cooled cooling system and a total displacement of 4.4L. All these elements combine to produce the 157.5 horsepower (117.5 kWm) at 1800 RPM. Oil service intervals are 500 hours as standard.
1259mm (45.5") Long, 721mm (28.3") Wide and 966mm (38") high are the dimensions of this Perkins Engine. The cylinders have measurements of 105mm for the bore and 127mm for the stroke. The engine has a (dry) mass of 550kg.
As viewed from the flywheel end, the rotation is anti-clockwise on this engine.
This engine could be used in its 50Hz or 60Hz configuration in a generator to supply an array of power needs. It could also be placed in parallel to increase the power output for when a larger power is needed. The sophisticated multinational network of Perkins suppliers, distributors and trained engine professionals are available to deliver full time service assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They have a selection of modern web based tools at their disposal to cover technical information, parts identification and ordering systems. All dedicated to maximising the productivity and efficiency of your engine over its life-cycle.
