Explained: The Baudouin 4M06 Series

Baudouin 4M06 Series Overview

The Baudouin 4M06 series is the smallest range of diesel generator engines that Baudouin makes. The least powerful engine from the range is the 4M06G20/5 which produces 26.8 hp (20 kWm) whilst the most powerful is the 4M06G55/6 which produces 84.5 hp (63 kWm). This range includes engines that run at either 1500 RPM or 1800 RPM dependent on what your power needs are.

The engines in this range all have 4 cylinders (in an in line arrangement), rotate counter clockwise and have a total engine displacement of 2.3L. They all also have a bore of 89 mm and stroke of 92 mm. The engines either use a mechanical pump or common rail fuel system with an electronic or ECU governor respectively.

The aspiration in the engines vary, the smaller engines are naturally aspirated, whilst the mid sized engines just have a turbocharger and the larger engines are turbocharged and air to air after cooled.

The 4M06 series are an ideal range of diesel engines for use in the power generation industry. These engines can be used alongside alternators in a generator for any lower power generation needs.
