Explained: The Baudouin 6M16 Series

Baudouin 6M16 Series Overview

The 6M16 series from Baudouin is a solid small-medium sized diesel generator engine range. At the lower powered end of the range is the 6M16G220/5 (50 Hz) which produces 273.6 hp (204 kWm) and at the higher powered end of the range is the 6M16G308/6 (60 Hz) which produces 482.8 hp (360 kWm). The most powerful engine to run at 50 Hz from the range is the 6M16G350/5 which produces 429.1 hp (320 kWm).

The straight 6 engines have a total displacement of 9.726 L and rotate counter clockwise. The bore x stroke is 126 x 130 mm. The engines have a fuel system which use a mechanical pump with an electronic governor (mechanical governors are also available for all the engines as an option).

All the engines in this series are turbocharged and air to air after cooled.

The 6M16 series are a good set of engines which would be suitable in the power generation industry. Pairing them with an alternator would make for a durable and long lasting generator to produce your power.
