What is the Stamford S5 Alternator Series?
The Stamford S5 alternator improves upon the already efficient HC5/HCI5 series. The S5 series has an additional thermal management system which helps regulate temperature, in turn this improves the thermal performance of the unit and increases the power density. The S5 range uses a shunt or a PMG for the excitation system.
