The Stamford S5L1D-E41 Alternator is a mid range alternator from the S5 series. The alternator has been designed with the customer in mind and optimised for power density. The S5L1D-E41 includes the new enhanced thermal management cooling system which helps improve the alternators power density and increase its thermal capabilities.

The excitation system on this alternator is self exciting but it does also have the option of being excited separately by a PMG excitation system.
