The Leroy Somer LSA40 S4 is the second biggest alternator from the efficient LSA40 range. Its rigid design means that the compact alternator can withstand vibrations from the generator set making it a long lasting unit. The alternator has been designed so that it can be used for all typical generator applications, including marine, backup and telecommunications.

As standard, the LSA40 S4 has a shunt (self excited) excitation system but it also has an AREP (auxiliary wound) system available as an optional extra.
